“When he puts his arms around me, I feel like a marshmallow melting in hot cocoa.” —Who writes this stuff?! ’Tis the season for the cheesiest, most predictable holiday movies. I love ’em. They’re a guilty (sorry, not sorry) pleasure—often playing in the background while I rock my holiday chores. Side note: True fans of the genre know that Hallmark isn’t the only show in town. Lifetime serves up plenty of cheese-and-crackers seasonal romances too. When my family finally arrives for Christmas, my sister, daughters and I will compare notes on which movies gave us the most cheese and glee. Bad or really bad, they're all good. And spoiler alert! Love wins. Dreams come true. Hope triumphs. Karma takes a bow. If all this makes you a little queasy, this post isn’t for you. (He may be Mr. Christmas, but the hubby takes a hard pass on this tradition.) But if you’re still with me, I have an idea to make this year’s film fest less indulgent. Let’s sneak in some hustle during a hectic and high-caloric holiday season! The Rock Your Chores Christmas movie workout Maybe you’re thinking, why isn’t this a merry drinking game? Like any RYC game, feel free to change the rules to how you see fit. No pun intended. But if you want to feel jolly the next day, this is probably the better choice. Good luck, Rockers!! Let me know if you give it a try. (My sister says this may be the beginning of her Hallmark detox. Haha.) I believe in the magic of Christmas—and you.
