“God bless us every one!” It’s a crazy, busy time of year. Like you need me to tell you that. But, you know me. I am always looking for ways to live better with less stress. So with that mission in mind … I have a little dickens of a game for the days ahead. I thought you might like to play along. Let’s call this jolly hustle and bustle, “3 Small Things: The Christmas Edition.” If you like it, it’s certainly adjustable for any day and any time of year. I am planning to play in the evenings this week—to end each day in a little productivity afterglow. How it works You’re going to take a few minutes to do three small things. (How’d you guess!?) I could give you examples, but this is about your stuff, not mine. Oh, I have my stuff, so much stuff. 1. Past: Do a nagging little thing you’ve been meaning to do. 2. Present: Do something just for you, something that’s going to make you feel better in the moment. Self care, darling. 3. Yet to come: Do a task that your future self will really appreciate. Think about how tickled they'll be. This is where I usually say what I like about a new RYC game, but I haven’t played this one yet. Yep, untested. So I guess that means this is a group experiment of sorts. If you play along, be sure to report back on your findings. Your participation is voluntary (i.e. unpaid) and greatly appreciated. Maybe you’re thinking, “Bah humbug, not for me.” Well, I hope you sleep soundly tonight, Ebenezer. 🤪 👻
